XML Upload Guidelines [EN]

In order to set up the ad transfer from your platform to Agriaffaires, please find below the technical requirements:

  • First of all, ads need to be transferred using a single XML formatted file.
The specifications for the XML feed are attached in the file named "XML Import File Details_EN_Sales_Complete_v3.5.1.pdf".

  • The “import-EN-3-Sales-sample.xml” file is an example of a feed that we accept to transfer ads to Agriaffaires.

Regarding the fields required to perform an import, the complete list of our categories and the associated fields is available here: Categories Agriaffaires - MachineryZone - Truckscorner - > For sale / Offers

To ensure the import runs properly, the following requirements must be met:

  • the presence of mandatory fields for the import of ads

  • the uniqueness of the field and property IDs

  • the consistency of these IDs from one ad to another
E.g.: If the "MARQ" ID is used for the "make" property, it must be the only one to match this property and all the ads in the file must use this ID for the "make" property.

To manage the feed process, we propose two methods:

  1. The XML file is hosted on your own servers and we are in charge of downloading it. So you just need to provide us with access, such as an FTP account or a direct URL.
With this method, pictures need to be hosted as well and their URLs need to be included in the <picture>; XML tags (e.g.: <picture>;http://mywebsite.com/pictures/pic001.jpg</picture>;).

  2. We provide you with secure access to our FTP server, so you can upload the XML file and pictures.
In this case, <picture>; XML tags need to contain the exact names of the pictures, including the extension (e.g.: <picture>;10381_D1459.jpg<;/picture>;).
Please let us know which method you would like to use.
